Wheel Chair Program

Wheel Chair Program Punjab government ka ek special initiative hai jo persons with disabilities ko assistive devices provide karta hai. Is program ko Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif ne Lahore mein launch kiya . Launching ceremony mein 300+ special persons ne participation ki aur CM Punjab ne personally advanced devices distribute kiye .

Is program ka official name “Assistive Devices and Wheelchair Program” hai. Is ke through persons with disabilities ko free of cost wheelchairs, hearing aids, prosthetics aur other assistive devices diye jate hain . Program ka budget Rs. 1 billion hai .

Types of Devices Available:

• Manual wheelchairs (adults ke liye)

• Pediatric wheelchairs (children ke liye)

• Electric/Motorized wheelchairs

• Tri-wheel scooters

• Robotic prosthetics

• Hearing aids with batteries and ear molds

• Walking aids

Official Portal:

Online application ke liye official portal hai: adwc.punjab.gov.pk . Applicants ghar bethe online apply kar sakte hain.

Mobile App:

Social Welfare Department ne ek mobile app bhi launch ki hai jiska naam “Assistive Devices and Wheelchair” hai. Ye app Google Play Store par available hai. App ke through persons with disabilities ghar se hi assistive devices request kar sakte hain .

Eligibility Criteria:

• Punjab ka resident hona zaroori hai

• Disability Assessment Board ki taraf se issue ki gayi disability certificate honi chahiye

• Valid CNIC hona zaroori hai (minors ke liye B-Form)

• Medical recommendation (ENT ya Orthopedic specialist se)

• Age 5 years and above

• Disability certificate (District Disability Assessment Board se)

• Medical recommendation

• Application form (online ya Social Welfare office se)

Application Process:

Sab se pehle official portal adwc.punjab.gov.pk par visit karein. Online registration complete karein aur required documents upload karein. Applicants nearest Social Welfare office mein ja kar bhi apply kar sakte hain . Registration aur device allocation completely free hai.

Beneficiary Statistics:

Program se ab tak 7,527+ individuals benefit kar chuke hain . March 2026 tak ye number 17,000+ ho gaya hai .

Himmat Card Connection:

Wheel Chair Program CM Himmat Card Program ke saath integrated hai. Himmat Card holders ko free assistive devices bhi provide kiye jate hain. Himmat Card ke under quarterly financial assistance bhi di jati hai
