Apni Chhat Apna Ghar Program Punjab government ka ek landmark housing initiative hai jo low-income families ko interest-free loans provide karta hai apna ghar banane ke liye. Is program ko Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif ne August 2024 mein launch kiya tha .

Is program ka maksad un families ko apna ghar dene ka hai jo rent par rehti hain ya jin ke paas apni proper housing nahi hai. Ye program “Apni Zameen Apna Ghar” scheme ka complementary hai jo plotless families ko free plots provide karta hai.

Program Launch aur Cabinet Approval:

Punjab Cabinet ne August 2024 mein is program ko approve kiya. Approval ke time cabinet ne decide kiya ke Rs. 1.5 million ka loan 9 years mein Rs. 14,000/month ki installments par diya jayega. Is loan scheme ko revolving fund mein convert kiya gaya hai aur public se koi extra charges nahi liye jayenge .

Loan Details aur Benefits:

  • Interest-free loan up to Rs. 1.5 million

  • Monthly installment: Rs. 14,000 approximately

  • Repayment period: 7 to 9 years

  • Grace period of 6 months before first installment starts

  • Early payment rebate available: 1-3 years mein full payment par 20% rebate, 4-6 years mein 10% rebate

  • No recommendation required — completely transparent

Construction Progress & Statistics:

  • 51,911+ loans issued by June 2025 worth Rs. 57.9 billion

  • 64,000+ interest-free loans disbursed as of August 2025

  • 67,197 houses completed as of January 2026

  • 53,843 houses under construction

  • 1.88 million registered users under the program

  • 99% recovery rate showing program transparency

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Punjab ka permanent resident hona chahiye

  • Urban areas mein 5 marla tak ka plot hona chahiye

  • Rural areas mein 10 marla tak ka plot hona chahiye

  • Low ya middle-income category mein hona chahiye

  • Valid CNIC hona chahiye

  • No criminal record or major loan defaults

Priority Categories:

  • Widows

  • Orphans

  • Differently-abled persons

  • Daily wage workers

  • Women-headed households

Required Documents:

  • CNIC copy

  • Plot ownership proof or allotment letter

  • Income proof or affidavit

  • Family Registration Certificate (FRC)

  • Passport-size photographs

Application Process:

Official portal acag.punjab.gov.pk par visit karein. CNIC aur mobile number se account create karein. Application form fill karein aur required documents upload karein. Tracking ID save karlein aur status check karte rahein.
